Kehmay Arriola and Tien Friedberg founded Saweet in Fall 2009 as San Antonio's first and only mobile cupcakery.

In the Winter of 2011, Mackenzie Kozak and Lori Moy took over the business. With so much success from the mobile version of Saweet Cupcakes, Mackenzie decided to open up her first cupcakery store located off 281 at 16652 San Pedro, San Antonio, TX 78232.
